In most people's minds, Kaohsiung is a hot and humid city that is famous for its big harbor. But to me, it is the place I like the most because someone special to me lives there. My grandparents live in Kaohsiung. Every time I visit them, my grandma always cooks my favorite dish, bitter melon and pineapple pork rib soup. Bitter melon tastes bitter at first, but it becomes sweet afterward. It is also very healthy. She always asks me to eat more, so I always gain a little weight when I stay in Kaohsiung. My grandpa often takes me to the library to borrow books. On weekends, he drives my grandma and me to the harbor area for an outing. Spending time with them always makes me feel happy and relaxed.

        One of our favorite places is the Pier-2 Art Center. We walk along the harbor and enjoy the art installations. We can see big ships and feel the sea breeze there. My favorite place is Dagang Bridge. You might wonder why I like a bridge, but Dagang Bridge is not an ordinary bridge. It can rotate! Every time I watch it rotate, I am amazed. To most people, the harbor is a place to have fun and relax. But to me, it is a place full of wonderful memories.

         Every time I leave Kaohsiung, I always feel a little sad because, to me, Kaohsiung is not just a place to have fun. It is my second home. I am looking forward to visiting my grandparents again this winter vacation.
