The Amazing Trip to Seoul
This summer, I traveled to Seoul with my mom and my brother. It was my first time visiting the capital city of South Korea. I was excited because I like K-pop and Korean food, and I had always wanted to see what Seoul was like.
Our first stop was Myeongdong, a famous shopping area. The streets were full of people, and there were bright signs everywhere. I saw many shops selling clothes, cosmetics, and tasty street food. I tried spicy rice cakes called tteokbokki, and they were delicious!
Next, we went to Gwangjang Market, which is one of the oldest traditional markets in Seoul. When we stepped inside, it smelled so good! We ate mung bean pancakes and kimchi dumplings there. My mom also bought a soft blanket that felt cool to the touch. She said it would be perfect for hot summer nights in Taiwan. I enjoyed walking through the market and seeing so many new things.
My favorite part of the trip was eating Korean barbecue. The meat was cooked right in front of us. I wrapped it in lettuce with garlic and sauce. It was juicy and so yummy! I also tried kimchi soup—it was a bit spicy but absolutely tasty.
Even though the trip lasted only five days, I learned a lot about Korean culture and food. I had a wonderful time with my family. I hope I can go back to Korea again someday!
