My Favorite Country

Two years ago, I went to Japan. I visited many Japanese restaurants and toy stores in Tokyo with my mother and my father. I think Japan is a wonderful country because Japanese people are very nice. I’d like to tell you more about two aspects of Japanese culture: food and theme park.

In Japan, you can eat many things like sushi, tempura and battered octopus. Sushi is served cold. It is made of sashimi and rice. Next, tempura is a fried food and it’s made of flour, cold water, vegetable and fish. My favorite type of tempura is fried chicken. Last, battered octopus is like a ball with chopped octopus and batter inside. It looks like ping-pong balls and it tastes very yummy.

There are a lot of theme parks in Japan. I went to one of the coolest one: Disneyland. I went there to buy toys and played there. You can see many rides there. There are parades with Donald Ducks, Minnie and Mickey Mouse. They are very cute. Also I went to the most terrifying ride in Disneyland: The horrible elevator. It is like a free fall. My mom and dad weren’t scared, but I was a third grader at that time, so I screamed very loud and I kept my eyes closed because I was too scared!

In conclusion, my favorite Japanese dishes are sushi, tempura and battered octopus. Japan has a lot of cool theme parks where you can see parades and experience thrilling rides. For all of those reasons, I like Japan a lot!
