A Trip to an Ancient Egyptian Exhibition
My family and I went to see the Quest for Immortality 3 years ago. It was at Chang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. We were very lucky because it was the last day. I felt a little scared and excited. First, we saw a map of the Nile River. The Nile River cuts through the heart of Egypt. It has always been important for the Egyptians. Then we saw a mummy of a little girl. She was only 8 years old. She died because of back disease so her father wanted her to go to heaven. It took a lot of work to make a mummy those days. And usually it took 40 days for the body to dry. I didn’t like the black withered mummified head and ears. It was so scary! That night I had a nightmare about it. Later we saw some golden masks. They were placed on the pharaoh mummies. Next, we watched a video about the making of a mummy! We had a happy day at Chang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall.
