Ms. Chen took us to explore a farm in a summer afternoon. At the entrance of the farm, a big white goose came rushing and cackling at us. Several girls were scared and hid behind the back of Ms. Chen. We saw various kinds of fruits, vegetables, insects and birds on the farm. We worked hard like a farmer—digging soil with a shovel on the hot sunny day. We realized that farming wasn't easy. Spiders, ants, cockroaches and bugs could be easily found everywhere on the farm. A boy screamed in terror when a spider crawled out of his shoes. The farmer taught us how to make a pizza. Although it didn't look great, it was still tasty. He taught us to wrap rice dumplings, too. All of us were hungry, so everyone gulped eagerly soon after the rice dumplings were ready.
