The Most Important Memory
“Hurry up!” Mom said excitedly. I ran down stairs, changed my shoes and walked to the car. “ I ‘m ready! Let’s go.” Our trip to the City Hall had started. Are you curious about what we were doing? We were going for a writing assignment award ceremony.
On the way to the City Hall, I talked to my friend all the time. It was my first time to go to a formal ceremony, so my happiness was so much that I couldn’t use words to describe it. When we arrived, my heart was beating so loud that I thought everyone could hear it. What would happen next?
When we went into the City Hall, there were a lot of snacks waiting for us. The teacher told us we could start eating. In the meanwhile, the orchestra had started playing music to welcome the guests. It was time to go in. I walked in to the hall nervously.
The award ceremony had started. In a brief moment, it was time for me to go on to the stage. My legs were trembling. When I saw many people in the audience, I almost fainted! But I still did everything correctly. Phew! The process was very successful.
This experience was very important to me. It was my first time to win a competition. I’ll remember this day forever.
