This summer vacation, I went to Yellowstone National Park in U.S.A. with my family and my best friend, Melody. Yellowstone National Park is a national park located in the U.S. state of Wyoming. It was the first National Park in the U.S. and is also widely regarded as the first national park in the world. We spent a few hours getting there. When we arrived, it was dawn and we saw crowds of deer beside the hotel.

The next day, when I woke up, I saw lots of squirrels near a cottage. I fed them bread and cookies. When my family woke up, we invited Melody to join us. Both of us thought the squirrels were so adorable.

In the evening, we ate dinner at the buffet restaurant in Yellowstone Park. Then we drove to the next hotel. That night, we made a decision that we were going to wake up at 4:30 in the morning and search for wild animals in the park.

At 4:30 in the morning, it was so cold. We tried our best to unwrap from our quilts and climb out of our cozy beds. We put on our jackets and started our search game. We drove into the forest to wait for the sunrise. It was the first time I saw the sunrise in another country. It seemed a little different from the sun in Taiwan. It was really beautiful. Then, we walked deeper into the forest. We saw many deer and many kinds of mice. They all rushed along the road. I was so worried about them because I was afraid there would be any accident. And of course the main goal of the searching game was to look for the big brown bison. I couldn’t believe what I saw. The bison were as tall as our van and they are really scary.

Finally, we went to visit Old Faithful. It is the most famous spot in the park. I’ve heard people say that it was used to do laundry before. Can you believe it? The water can spurt so high and we even had a competition to see which spurt was the highest.

As the temperature was getting higher, our wonderful adventure was coming to an end. I think Yellowstone National Park is the most beautiful and wonderful place I’ve ever been and I believe if you come, you will have the same feeling as I do. I can’t wait to visit this magnificent park again.
